Are payment plans available? What happens if I have to reschedule my lesson?

All driving lessons must be paid in advance, and you must provide 24 hours notice to reschedule a lesson. If you must reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $50 reschedule fee for that missed lesson. You must call the NWDS office to reschedule any lessons with less than 24 hours notice.

How do I get to class if I cannot drive?

Northwest Driving School provides free pick-up and drop-off to your home, wherever you need to be before and after your lesson. We proudly teach classes in Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. We are here to serve you.

Can I use Northwest's car to take my Drive Test?

Northwest allows our students to use a school car to take your road test providing your instructor feels you are completely prepared and ready to be licensed. There is an additional charge for this service.

What do I use to practice driving in if I don't have a car?

Northwest has multiple training cars for your use while taking behind-the-wheel classes. All of the cars are equipped with an instructor's brake and are DMV certified as safe.

I haven't driven in years and I have to take a Drive Test. Do you have a class that's right for me?

Northwest offers behind-the-wheel instruction for drivers who have not been actively driving for an extended period of time. This class is recommended for those who are preparing to take the Nevada DMV Drive Test.

Do I have to have my permit to register for a behind-the-wheel lesson?

Yes. In order to drive legally, you must have passed a Nevada DMV drivers permit test. Once you have passed, you can immediately register for your behind the wheel lessons online at https://app.northwestdrivingschool.com/

Northwest Driving School (NWDS) offers Drivers Ed for teens ages 15½ – 17½ to build a strong foundation in safe, responsible driving. The program includes a 15-hour in-person class and 6 hours (at least) of one-on-one driving lessons with DMV-certified instructors in dual-control vehicles—male or female, depending on who you're most comfortable learning from.

For adults, NWDS offers flexible driving lessons to build confidence and on-road safety, whether you're returning to the road after time away or learning to drive for the first time.
