The following statistics are from the years 2011-2015. Statistics were compiled by Nevada Department of Transportation.

Seat Belt Problems:

371 unbelted occupants lost their lives and 942 occupants were seriously injured in vehicle crashes on Nevada roadways.

  • Male drivers 26 to 35 were involved in the most unbelted fatalities and serious injuries.
  • 63 % of fatalities and serious injuries occurred in Clark County.

Impaired Driving Problems:

369 people lost their lives and 708 people were seriously injured in impaired driving crashes on Nevada highways.

  • Male drivers 26 to 35 were involved in most impaired driving fatalities.
  • 65 % of fatalities and serious injuries occurred in Clark County.

Lane Departure Problems:

517 people lost their lives and 1,656 were seriously injured in lane departure crashes on Nevada roadways.

  • Male drivers 26 to 35 are involved in most lane departure fatalities and serious injuries followed by male drivers 21 to 25 years old.
  • 48% of lane departure fatalities and serious injuries happened in Clark County.
